Everyone has a story.

Everyone has a story within them just waiting to be told. As we read the New Testament, we see that it is written to believers that choose to obey the voice of God. In John 16:7KJV, Jesus said, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.” When Jesus ascended and was taken up on high, He gave gifts. Those same gifts are in our midst today and are waiting to be revealed within the heart of each person. Today, there are many gifts that have not yet been released because they lay dormant in the graves of the hearts of men and women. Therefore, because of this dormancy, it hinders the flow of His Power and His glory from being released.

A day is coming when no man will be able to stand in His presence on their own. Therefore, it will require a supernatural equipping that will rest on men and women. This equipping will allow us to be able to enter into that Holy Place with God. He is God and He does not lie. The body of Christ needs to stir up the gifts within themselves. One of the ways this stirring comes is by the laying on of hands. We understand that the same supernatural unction from the Holy One that sat upon each of them as they all were filled in that upper room, will also come on us today. On that day of Pentecost, they all received from the Lord and not one person was overlooked.

When I took a trip to Israel and stood in that upper room, I heard the preaching of the Word, and as the Word was going forth, my heart was challenged and the genuine presence of God personally met me there. WHY THERE? BECAUSE I HAD AN OPEN HEART TO RECEIVE AND a broken heart that needed a healing. Jesus came to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, recover sight to the blind and to set at liberty them that are bruised.

Sometimes, because of various circumstances, our hearts become hardened and we grow emotionally cold in different areas and although we might not understand why, we end up shutting ourselves off from receiving all that we possibly can from God. Therefore, in order for God to move, He needs our whole heart, which needs to be untainted especially from various forms of unforgiveness. For some, it might be a lifelong issue that keeps occurring and festering. Regardless, when God comes in and takes out that sting of pain, it is gone forever and in exchange for that pain, you will receive a freedom that is eternal.

We are earnestly waiting for the day of His coming. Will you be ready? So many church services today seem to be geared toward only the preaching of everyone needing a Savior. While we obviously need this preaching, regrettably, it seems as if holiness has vanished from the preaching of the Word. Where has the teaching on right living before Him gone? Where is the teaching, which Jesus personally taught, of having one spouse or the church actually understanding that God hates divorce? It is bewildering, but many of the current teachings are watered down to appease the crowd. This is the same crowd that will actually bless you one day and then stone you the next.

Ask yourself, are you building the kingdom of God or the kingdom of this world? Will you dare to preach the uncompromising Word even if it means that you clean out the first two rows of your church when you preach the truth regarding marriage and divorce? Or, instead, will you find yourself building this world’s kingdom? My Bible tells me that we are just visitors passing through. Ask yourself, are you just passing through? Maybe, you’ve become settled and comfortable while deciding to enjoy the kingdom of this world and its opposing teachings such as, “It’s all good“? Well, in reality, “It’s not all good.” It’s not all good with the soul of man as long as he continues to be in this world and becomes “of it”.

Although we are the salt of the earth, when the salt looses it savor, it becomes good for nothing. Understand, having a crowd is not a confirming sign that the holiness of GOD IS IN A PLACE. Remember, God is the one that orchestrates us in our coming and going as we go preach into different cities, and He also helps guide us in our daily prayer time and our everyday simple life tasks. He is the author and finisher of our faith. So, what is your story?

The Bible declares that we are the clay and He is the potter. When do you think that it is alright to crawl off the altar? The answer is: never. Remember in the Old Covenant that the animals were the sacrifices that were offered up for our sins? Well, now in the New Covenant, Jesus was the Supreme sacrifice. Similarly, just as Jesus was our primary example, we must now follow His example by sacrificing daily our will, to our Father’s will, while understanding the price that Jesus paid for us. Our will is to be laid upon the altar. It is not I that live, but Christ that lives within me. Did you not offer yourself up and say those words? And now, where are those words and where are you? Are you on the altar or have you built your own altar with its own means to an end? Do you justify what you are doing?

The heart of God is branded on every believer’s heart that has cried out to Him and has made Him the Lord of their life. But, what does The Lord of my life mean? To one, it is a license to do and say whatever they can to advance their own will and motives. This mentality rises up a kingdom of believers that sadly hear and believe only half of the truth. Watered down truth does not have the same effect as the whole truth that comes directly from the Word of God. The Word of God is rich and full of instructions. As believers, we should purpose it in our hearts that we daily conduct our lives by it. What is your story? Will you be able to tell it with the whole truth or water it down so that it remains within the confines of the world’s acceptance?

We are not to fit in and be acceptable to the world. We are to take our place, stand our ground and believe what the Bible has stated concerning us. What part of eternity, and the way the Bible describes our attaining salvation, not made simple and clear? It is not a one time thought and heartfelt prayer, it is a lifestyle. A lifestyle of training your children, a lifestyle that goes cross grain with the things we observe in the media and especially the shows that mock the proper role of a man as the head of his household or a women being a devoted wife and homemaker. What happened to women being women and taking the responsibility of their home and family? What is currently being betrayed is all a lie. The lifestyle we observe on sitcoms and movies are so far from the lifestyle a born again believer should be leading. The Bible is the Word of God, and if we will believe it, we will see our lives literally turn right side up. Believing and then doing the very simple truths of the Word will positively change an individual. We should have no desire to be like the world. My story is one of coming out of the world! Now, is the time to be free and not look back! Lot’s wife had a different story to tell. What is it that makes one look back AND NOT FORWARD? Whatever our story is, we must stay true and not stay in the same place. Otherwise, if we stay in the same place, we will keep receiving the same results from the wrong behaviors that we are trying to break free from.

Change is good. Change should be celebrated and embraced. As you ride on the wings of change, it will take you to that new life He has for you. As change occurs, this will allow a wonderful new thought process to begin as you leave the old thoughts behind and willingly embrace the new thoughts. It is so wonderful when you make the decision and turn the page in your life and begin to make quality choices. This life changing decision will begin to change your present and move you into your future. It is time for you to come over into the newness of life and newness of experiences waiting to be experienced specifically by you. It’s a freedom that will come over your heart and soul and will take you to a whole new level of life in Him. When we are conscious of moving toward the good and the right for our lives, we will be progressing and changing at a rapid rate.

You will begin to notice that when it isn’t about you anymore, the quantum leap has been made. When the real story line is presented to you and you realize how much you are loved, you will see the greater purpose as it starts to unfold because you chose to move closer to Him and then you begin to know, trust and love Him. Following this revelation, so many things that were hindering you before will begin to fall off and the things which you thought meant so much to you, no longer will mean the same to you. Just one glimpse of who He is, will AFFECT YOU FOR A LIFE TIME! Simply, we may experience a glimpse of who He is as we observe Him through another individual’s heartfelt convictions. Through this type of witness, we can actively observe His ways while learning what His life means to them.

We all have a story to tell. Will yours ever get told or will it lay dormant in you? When the pain of staying the same grows greater than the pain of change, only then will you see change on the horizon. Change can be your best friend and eagerly embraced. Know that when your change comes and knocks on the door of your heart, only goodness will come out of it. Invite change into your situation and embrace the new and let go of the old which includes past hurts, past failures and insecurities.

It is a new day for you to come out and tell your story so that someone will be encouraged as you share your personal story about where you have been and where you are going. We all are going somewhere. We are to keep busy, watch and pray for His coming. If you are not sure where you are going and need His love in you, I encourage you to invite Him into the recess of your whole heart, not holding anything back. In Revelation 3:20KJV, Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.”
