“Hungering for more of God”
“Hungering for more of God”
Hungering for God means, having an appetite that is not satisfied because it continually desires more of Him. Therefore, as you continually fill yourself with the things of God, then those divine revelations will dwell and remain in your innermost being and you will begin to be filled. The Word says in Rev. 3:16 (Amp), “So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!” God wants us to hunger and thirst after Him and His righteousness and to only do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
Today, there are so many distractions that are trying to pull on our minds and spirits to derail us off God’s will. We must ignore these distractions and stay completely focused on Him and the specific will that He has for our lives. Although it is easy to be derailed and get off course, it is easy getting back on track if you once again stir up your appetite for the things of God. When we stir ourselves up, it activates a hunger and we begin to desire more of Him and His will. Also, when we surround ourselves with good, Holy Ghost fellowship and dwell in the presence of God, it brings us closer to satisfying our hunger pains. Once we are fed, the more His Word and His Presence become infused and activated within us.
Therefore, keep yourself stirred up for the things of God and the aroma from the Word of God will permeate from you. Feeding on the Word will keep you in a state of hot and spicy when it comes to the things of the Lord. Your salt will be full of savor as you allow the Word to continually flow from your lips while you are awake and allow your spirit to continue as you lay your head on your pillow while you’re asleep.
